Voice Control
So, if you have been reading the posts I have put up so far about the iPhone on Orange, you will be getting the impression that this is a really simple and easy to use phone that does so much. Well, today I continue my overview of the features for you by explaining about how you can use your voice to control your iPhone 3GS.
You can use you voice for two functions, the first is the obvious one, and that is to make a call. This little feature can find anyone from within your contacts list. You just say the name you want to call, or if the person you want to call isn’t in your contacts, then just say the number. The iPhone 3GS will repeat the information back to you to confirm, and then make the call for you!
The second function that utilises the voice control feature is to play music. The iPhone knows the songs that are contained in your playlists. You can ask the iPhone 3GS what song is currently playing and it will tell you! You can ask it to play one of your favourite albums for you, or have it create a playlist of songs that are like the one you are listening to and play them.
So, there you have it, the iPhone on Orange can even be told what to do, literally, and it will obey! To activate the feature, just press and hold the home button.
