You can also add an image to each contact so every time people that you know call you, you will see their picture on your handset. You can scroll through your contacts with a quick flick of your finger, or use the search facility to find someone’s name fast.
Each time you connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac and launch iTunes, you can sync your contacts so you always have the same information on both devices. If you would like to keep all your information up to date without having to do this, then you can sign up for a MobileMe account and synchronise wirelessly and automatically.
The iPhone also gives you the ability to talk to up to five callers at once by creating an instant conference call, very handy for planning a night out on the town!
Not happy with the ringtones on your iPhone from Orange? That’s fine, just download a new one directly to your handset from your iTunes account. You can even set a different ringtone for each of your contacts so you will know who is calling you before you even take your iPhone out of your pocket!

An iPod in Widescreen – You can really show off your content with the stunning 3.5 inch display on your iPhone on Orange. We are talking music, TV programmes, films, photo’s and more. Music and video can also be added to your collection by wirelessly downloading from the iTunes store. By using just the touch of your finger, you can scroll through playlists and songs, and even use the Cover Flow to browse your album artwork.
Want to play your songs in a random order? Just shake the iPhone and you’re done, all your songs in the chosen playlist are shuffled for you. If someone calls you while you are listening to your favourite track, then the music is put on pause for you until you are done, and answering the call is simple, just press the button on your headset microphone.
Do you use the Genie feature in iTunes? Well you can on the iPhone from Orange as well. Genius will make a playlist for you based on what’s in your music library. You can turn the feature on easily by using voice control. Just say “play more songs like this” and Genie will do the rest for you! If your not even sure which song to start off with, then just choose Genius Mixes and the iPhone will choose for you.

Internet – Because the iPhone on Orange uses super fast 3G and Wi-Fi Internet connections, it is able to deliver rich HTML email, maps with GPS, and includes Safari which is the most advanced web browser available on a mobile handset. It has Yahoo! and Google search engines built in and because it has the ability to multitask, you can surf the web or email a friend whilst you are on a phone call thanks to the 3G and Wi-Fi connection options.
Safari allows you to see the real web, you don’t have to settle for a stripped down version made just for mobile phones. The iPhone from Orange will connect you to which ever network it has access to that is the fastest whether it be EDGE, 3G or a Wi-Fi network. If you want to take a closer look at something you have seen on a website, just double tap with your finger and the iPhone will zoom in for you. Turn the iPhone by 90 degrees, and the web page will turn with you allowing you to view in either portrait or landscape mode for a better viewing experience.
Your favourite site can also be accessed quickly and easily. You can ask the iPhone to create a home screen icon for your favourite sites. You favourites are also synchronised with your PC or Mac when you connect them together.

So you can see that the iPhone on Orange really does make life simple for you. Gone are the days when you search around comparing devices only to find that one does most things you want it to and another does the things the first one was missing but is still not giving you everything because it doesn’t do everything the first one does (if you can follow that!). The iPhone3GS gives you everything you want and all in one neat device. I really could go on for hours talking about how good this phone is, but you won’t really appreciate it until you have one of your own. So my recommendation is not to hesitate, and go and get your iPhone on Orange today!

As a generally happy Apple customer, I bought two 2G iPhones on the first day they hit the market (one for myself and one for my romantic partner at the time). When the 3G came out, I bought that model too. The first iPhone captivated the world because the interface was so well done, so snappy, so interactive; it was like nothing before it. Of course it was, it was an Apple product. That, right there, is why I buy Apple products. And I didn’t even mind that it was missing “copy and paste,” MMS, ringtones, etc — because I knew Apple would eventually get to these through software updates. And eventually they did. Unfortunately they kept coming out with new phones. With faster processors. And they wrote all their software updates for these phones, with little attention to deprecated models. I don’t really use third party software on my phones, I honestly don’t even use ringtones. I just use my phone for SMS, web, maps, and occasionally as an actual phone, so the 3G model was more than I ever needed. Except over time, it’s fulfilled my needs less and less. And it’s not because my needs have grown. It’s not because I’ve installed a bunch of laggy software. It’s because Apple’s firmware has become bloated, with respect to the processing power of the 3G iPhone. I just installed iOS 4 two weeks ago, and at this point, I’d be happy to roll back to the first firmware I ever had, just to have that original speed again; forget about the copy and paste, I don’t need it that badly.
